We had the opportunity to kick off the new year by designing and styling this styled shoot at a new barn venue in Humboldt, Blessing Barn. This year my goal is to team up with the many gorgeous venues in the area, and create some one of a kind styled shoots.
My inspiration for the design was the venue. Although it is a barn, there is something so romantic and elegant about the structure of the barn, the high ceilings and the gorgeous chandelier. I wanted to show brides that a barn venue doesn’t necessarily mean you have to have a rustic theme. I wanted to showcase the glamorous side of a barn. The soft pinks in the flowers, the mix matched china, and the use of gold in the calligraphy all captured the elegance I visioned for this barn.
Once again, we teamed up with some amazing vendors! The super talented Kelsey Hawkins of Kelsey Hawkins Photography completely captured my vision with her gorgeous photos. Kayla Scott never lets us down with her hair and makeup skills. Let It Shine Lighting and Vows Wedding & Event Rental Services provided the vintage and antique rentals. Our go to florist, Sand’s Florist, hit the mark with the flowers once again. Roberta Milam added the final special touch with her paper design and calligraphy. How STUNNING are the wedding gowns? The Alvina Valenta gown from Arzelle’s Bridal and the sparkling Sherri Hill dress from The White Room made this shoot even more special.
The Blessing Barn is hosting an open house on February 6th from 3:00 – 7:00. We will be attending the event, and would love to meet you there! Be sure to check out and like their Facebook page for more information on the open house and to schedule a tour of the venue!
