What’s not to love about New Year’s Eve. Midnight kisses, champagne, confetti and sparkle. Tons of GOLD SPARKLE. That has Southern Sparkle Wedding & Event Planning written all over it, so we were thrilled when Katie reached out to us to help coordinate and design her big day. Katie was a dream bride to work with. She had her vision and she trusted us to make it a reality for her and Brandon. Thank you Katie for letting us be part of your Happily Ever After.
The bridal party kicked off the day getting ready at the reception site. One of my all time favorite venues in Jackson, Tennessee, The New Southern Hotel. The restored historical building was originally built in 1927. The space is perfect for an elegant and glamorous affair, especially for a New Year’s Eve wedding.
The bride had a first look with not only her groom, but the bridesmaids and her father as well.
With tall windows, hardwood floors and stunning chandeliers, the Aeneas Building provided the perfect location for the ceremony. We decorated the aisle with cylinder vases filled with gold beans and candles. TB Lighting created the perfect backdrop with criss cross draping, lighting and a gorgeous chandelier.
As guest entered they were directed to sign the “guest book” which was a huge wall clock that the bride and groom will hang in their new home. This clock tied along with centerpieces and wall decor at the reception. As guest made their way upstairs to they were greeted with a Memory Table to honor Brandon’s mother and father. Katie made sure to keep their memory alive for the big day and also honored them by placing a rose in the Mother of the Groom chair for the ceremony.
You can’t go wrong the classic New Year’s palette of black and gold. And that’s just what we did. We maximized the glitz and glam of these colors with a sequined ornaments, gold napkins, tons of candles and hints of gold sparkle everywhere. We also had mix and match vintage clocks as centerpieces among reception tables so guests could countdown to midnight.
Gold sequin linens instantly adds a dash of glam elegance to the cocktail tables for a more simple yet striking vibe.
New Year’s Eve wouldn’t be complete without the right props. This table provide beads, hats, party horns, confetti poppers and noisemakers all ready for guests as the clock struck midnight.
Sequins bring a bit of style, sparkle, and shine to anything. This gold sequin backdrop was perfect for the Photo Booth area.
The champagne bar was adorned with cotton candy, pop rocks and other fun “toppings”.
When the clock strikes twelve, the guests showered Katie and Brandon in confetti streamers to celebrate the midnight kiss.
Thank you so much Katie & Brandon for letting Southern Sparkle be part of your big day! We had so much fun during the planning process.
“I cannot tell you how amazing Krisy and her team were. Starting for the very first day I spoke with her, Krisy was always very quick to respond and answered any questions I had. Krisy was so easy to get along with, and quickly understood the style and look I wanted for my wedding day and knew exactly how to help make it become a reality! I originally just purchased a small package, but I quickly realized my mother and I would need help decorating! Krisy was very flexible with adding decorating to my package, and I am so happy I did! The Southern Sparkle team took exactly what I had always dreamed of (and my pinterest 🙂 ) and decorated both my reception and ceremony venues!
My entire wedding day was amazing. I was able to enjoy the whole day with my mother, sister, and bridesmaids without having a single worry. I didn’t worry about the time, or making phone calls, or worry where someone was. All of my girls were able to enjoy the entire day by my side, while I spent the day with my groom! Anything I needed throughout the day the Southern Sparkle Team was there!! I owe these women everything for giving me the best day of my life! I am sure some things went wrong, they always do on weddings days, but I never noticed. Krisy and her professional team made our day flawless in my eyes! She is a great friend and planner and anyone using her is a very lucky bride!” – Katie
